question about the master of the north title
I wanted to know if it's possible to max the master of the north title without doing the elite dungeon. If I've read the wiki correctly it's possible, but I wanted someone to confirm it before I start vanquishing areas and doing all the other dungeons.

I see no reason to not trust Wiki in this circumstance. Go ahead and avoid Slavers if you don't want to do it. However, note you won't be able to complete the HM Dungeon Masters Guide, and thus lose out on a ton of cash, XP, and faction points. You only need to do Duncan in HM anyway, so it's not too bad.

Well there are 1031 points attainable, of which you only need 1000. So you can skip 31 points worth of content. I skipped vanquishing Sacnoth Valley and still got Legendary Master of the North. A normal mode dungeon is 10 points, a hard mode dungeon 20. So you could skip doing Slavers' Exile in both NM and HM and still be able to get 1001 points. I would still do it though, for the reason Marty said: NM and HM Master Dungeon Guides.

I forgot the exact tally, but with full vq's, and full HM missions, I was able to attain master of the north while skipping a single dungeon.
One small caveat, you'll still need to complete all dungeons in NM, including Slaver's. |

Yes you can skip Slavers in both NM and HM and still get Legendary Master of the North. I have done it.

If you want to skip Slaver's Exile both NM and HM you will have to map eotn regions more carefully to get every little point.

then again, this means your going to have to do alot more harder dungeons, i.e Rragars, CoK, Frostmaws...
do all the bosses before duncan in NM, then do him HM, theres a really good guide on wiki, howto do it. and if you need help with builds, pm me, Oscar The Lord |

a different question on this title..
Is there a way in EOTN to know exactly how far you've progressed in this title? (eg. dungeons on nm/hm, primary quests on HM, or how much fog you've explored).
I'm at 855 and just don't want to go to each dungeon and complete it in both NM and HM if I don't have to because I've already done it before. Thanks |

The Primary Missions and Dungeons show up on the map screen as a banner and a dungeon chest if completed. If not there will be a bare pole and a closed door.

You can see how much you have explored using Texmod (/wiki texmod) and the Cartography Made Easy mod.
